Journey from Indian to Western

As we know that Diwali is round the corner and so are Diwali parties! Our generation is excited about Diwali parties more than the festival itself. Now deciding outfits for a Diwali party is one hell of a task because this festival is all about wearing Ethnic. Our generation is so much into western outfits that we do not have much ethnic wears in our wardrobe. And even if we have, we already have a picture of it on Instagram :p

So this Diwali, let’s do something different, something edgy! So this Diwaliiiii let’s go western in an Indian way.
In today’s post I’ll show you how you can style your plain boring kurta in a western way. Here are two outfit ideas to inspire you to rock desi fusion wear this festive season.

First Outfit

For the first outfit I wore a plain black long kurta with a pair of black shorts. I wanted to experiment with this kurta so I decided to wear it like a tunic dress.

I wore a plain brown belt over this Kurta to give it an edgy look, and carried a black handbag. Guys believe it or not, a good purse or a hand bag just adds on to your entire outfit.

I paired it up with tan coloured boots so that it matches the belt.

I teamed it up with loop earrings and for my makeup, I went for smokey eye-shadow look. I used black and silver eye shadow to create this look. With smokey eyes, I always apply nude lipshades.

I just love slit maxis and dresses so I couldn't stop myself from flaunting the kurta slit.

I hope you liked the look :D

Second Outfit

For the second outfit, I wore a plain white embroidered Kurta with a pair of boyfriend jeans.

I wore a white waist belt with this outfit to give it a western touch.

I teamed it up with blue coloured pom pom earrings.
Makeup: For my eyes, I used navy blue coloured kajal pencil and mascara. To give this outfit a more bold look, I went for dark purple lipstick.

Wore silver kohlapuris with this attire.
